We believe every person should be committed to growing in spiritual maturity — following Jesus — within the local church. Spiritual maturity is more about who you are becoming in Christ, than what you are doing in the church. In brief, our discipleship path describes what it means to truly be a Christ-follower at Bethany Baptist Church. We pray that God will give us greater joy as we partner together in this life-long pursuit of proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and preparing His people to worship Him forever (2 Corinthians 4:5; Colossians 1:9-12, 28-29).
It’s all about JESUS. You must be born again by the Holy Spirit before you can follow Jesus Christ. Following Jesus begins with submission to His Word as evidenced by a life of faith and repentance — all by God’s grace (Jn 3:3-8; Eph 2:8-9)!

Saved people share. Believer’s baptism is a public demonstration of faith exercised in obedience to the Lordship of Christ. Baptism symbolizes the believer’s one-time and eternal union with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Matt 28:18-20; Acts 2:38)!

Loved people love people. Commit yourself to imitating Jesus in the context of your local church family. Join the ranks of other Jesus-followers as a member of Bethany. Intentionally connect to loving relationships with other believers. Share responsibilities with others in a unified mission (2 Corinthians 8:23; Philippians 1:3-6; Colossians 1:28-29).

Worshippers reproduce worship. Jesus calls all of His disciples to make disciples by helping others come to know and worship Jesus! In this way God multiplies generations of worshippers who are continuously walking others through the first three steps of biblical discipleship (Matthew 9:37-38; 1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1).
