Our dynamic Awana ministry exists to glorify God as we help parents bring up their children to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and worship Him forever (Deut. 6:4-9; Eph 6:4; 2 Tim. 2:15). Awana is an acronym for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” taken from 2 Tim. 2:15.
The purpose of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. Each Wednesday night club meeting includes Council, Handbook, and Game time. Cubbies, Sparks, and Truth & Training are divided by age.
Every Wednesday night, August 28, 2019 through May 6, 2020
@ Bethany Baptist Church
6:15 — 8:00pm.
Please arrive a few minutes early your first week to allow time for registration and materials. Cubbies (2 years of Pre-K) registration is by the south entrance near the children’s wing mural’s empty tomb and tree of life. Sparks (Kindergarten – 2nd Grade) registration is near the mural’s dinosaurs. T&T (3rd – 6th Grade) registration is in the adult education wing to the north.
Online pre-registration will be available until noon on August 21. This helps us with preparations, but walk-up registration will be available at materials pickup night (August 21, 5:45-7:30) and each night of Awana as well. Please allow extra time your first week to find your room and get materials.
There are currently waiting lists for Cubbies (Pre-K) and Sparks (K-2nd). Volunteers needed!
As a ministry to our Awana families, dinner is served most Wednesdays before club meeting (mid-September through April). Dinner is from 5:00 — 5:45 pm. with a suggested donation of $3 per person.
