The youth ministry at Bethany exists is to glorify God by partnering with parents to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord to youth preparing them to worship Him forever (Eccl. 12:13-14).
Bethany seeks to creatively engage students in activities for the purpose of facilitating gospel-proclaiming opportunities. Expository teaching from Scripture, small groups, worship and prayer time, camps, outings, and service projects are all designed to give students time with youth volunteers who serve as mentors and partners with parents.
Bethany comes alongside parents, preparing students to follow Christ in a world that is hostile to the gospel. Whether on campuses, at work, or in their community we want every student to be equipped with an understanding of Scripture, the tools for Christian growth, and the discernment to make adult, life-altering decisions and to be an integral part of God’s Church.
Junior High (7th-8th grade)
The Jr. High group is designed to promote Christ-centered lives. The main teaching goal is the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and the understanding of living a Christian life. Our teaching is based solely on God’s Word and the correct handling of it as we seek to apply it to our everyday lives. We have fun, but not at the expense of digging into the eternal truths of the Bible.
We believe that relationships are a key to successful ministry. We want to create an atmosphere of love and unity among the students where every person who comes through the doors feels valued. We also emphasize the importance of the adult leaders spending time mentoring, training, and encouraging our students to grow deeper in their walk with Christ and to represent Him in their families, schools, and teams.
Jr. High students meet in the Bethany Jr. High room youth room every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. and for youth group, every Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.
Senior High (9th-12th grade)
The Sr. High group is a place where students are welcomed and valued. We take time to fellowship, announce upcoming activities, share prayer requests, and study the Bible. Our Sunday school lessons cover short passages within a book of the Bible where we attempt to examine each verse within its proper context for the purpose of applying it to our lives. We have fun activities and Small Groups with adult leaders to encourage one another toward growing in our walk with Christ.
Sr. High students meet in the Bethany youth room every Sunday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and for youth group, every Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.
On March 15th the Bethany Fellowship of Churches hosts Engage: an annual youth event which gives students a chance to connect the word of God to the world around them.

Each summer in June, Bethany’s Jr. and Sr. High students get away for an adventurous five-day camp experience. With the setting of beautiful Lake Geneva Christian Center as the backdrop, students are challenged to examine their lives through the lens of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Teaching by pastors of the Bethany Fellowship of Churches and small group discussions with volunteer youth leaders are highlights of the camp experience.
Games, banana boats, shopping, giant swings and slides, and canoeing are just a few of the activities that students enjoy. But more important than that is the relationships that are formed and the undistracted, focused, extended time in the Word of God. It’s not uncommon to see God perform His wondrous work of salvation in the lives of students at camp.
