After witnessing God’s power in battle, David sought to honor Him by bringing the Ark of the Covenant to the capital. On the way he witnessed the holiness of God strike down Uzzah. David learned to tread very carefully, going to great lengths to humble himself before Yaweh! So how did He find the courage to pray to God for blessing? David stood on God’s promise. When we know God’s promises and submit our desires to them, we too will find the courage to pray!
