“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.” Proverbs 3:5-8 (Context: Proverbs 3:1-35)
We all yearn for healing and refreshment, especially as we pass through stressful seasons of life that seem to have no end. The world offers us countless distractions and temporary remedies, but no lasting peace. God in his grace offers us a solution that is not only clear, but comes with an absolute promise of blessing – and it is available to me and you! Trust Him, honor Him, fear Him, and obey Him. Do this and keep on doing it. This is and always has been the path that leads to life (Matt 7:13-14).
