“Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:1-2
God calls us to a brotherly love through hospitality. But what does biblical hospitality look like during COVID-19? Hospitality does not always include inviting others into our homes. The focus of biblical hospitality is a heart that desires to welcome and fellowship with others. The gospel is the clearest picture of this. This gospel is not only our motivation for hospitality but also what we hope to communicate through hospitality.
- Organize errands for the elderly and others that are self-isolating.
- Offer to pray for those around you and let them know.
- Reach out to your 3 (three people that are close to you but far from God) to see how they are doing.
- Organize a game night over Zoom with a friend or neighbor.
