“What shall we do [to be saved]?” There are many answers to this question, but all the good ones include, and are limited to, two simple elements. First, repentance; turning away from one’s own way of life and toward God’s way. Second, baptism; publicly committing one’s whole allegiance to Jesus Christ. Yes, there is a lot to learn, pray, and practice as disciples but none of it goes beyond this simple gospel. Let’s proclaim it clearly.
