We are called disciples

Growing closer to Jesus is a process of taking our next step towards Him.

Discipleship is a never-ending process of following Jesus together. Each step forward is a step into a deeper relationship with Jesus. No matter how much we grow, discipleship is a group project. God calls us to follow Jesus together. That's why it's important to find your place in the body by serving and by finding a group you can grow alongside. It's why we are baptized publicly, to declare our faith before other believers. Every next step we take is one taken in faith, with the support of others in the body of Christ.

Baptism

Baptism is the first step after we put our faith in Jesus. It's a public declaration of faith to those around us and to our church family. It's a way of saying, "I am forever Christ's." Baptism symbolizes the our one-time and eternal union with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Membership

Membership is about committing to your local church, joining the ranks of other Jesus-followers as a member of Bethany, intentionally connecting to loving relationships with other believers, and sharing responsibilities with others in a unified mission.

Community Groups

God created us to live life connected to Him and to other Christians in the body of Christ (Romans 12). It's only through the love and community found in the body that we can be the follower of Jesus He calls us to be. Community follows commitment–it’s less something you look for; and more something you live out.

Serve

The church only works when all the members of the body are working together for the good of the whole. We need every believer to be involved, actively using their gifts in service to each other. Find your place in the body!
