Orphan Care is the broad term we use to refer to all kinds of ways our church provides help to families caring for children coming from hard places including foster care, adoption (domestic / international / embryo), ongoing support, and community resources.

The ministry always need prayer support but you can also give through the general fund to help support the ministry. You can also give specifically to the orphan care fund to help us directly. Encourage people in your spheres of influence that are involved in orphan care. Become an orphan care ambassador: sign up to be on the need contact list to be notified when needs arise. Become a licensed respite care family or a CASA Volunteer.

Yes, we offer a 6-week class on Orphan Care during a Sunday school hour that walks through the material of the book from our sister church’s Pastor Daniel Bennet: Passion for the Fatherless with supplemental videos, and class discussion.

Bethany has over three dozen families who have past and present experience in caring for children from hard places as well as countless more who invest in orphan care through prayer, encouragement, financial giving, help in times of placement, ongoing advocacy, counseling, and more.

Bethany has a generous network of experienced families who support one another through prayer, fellowship, encouragement, financial support, and community connections. We have a team who would love to get to know you and help you connect with others to provide and receive resources that help us fulfill our calling to care well for children in need.

Bethany has generous givers and a partnership with LifeSong for Orphans which enables us to assist families with a structured adoption fund along with necessary tools and resources. There is a network of individuals who love to help with meals and needs that arise during placements, respite, or times of crisis. We also are able to offer biblical counseling to families looking for biblical wisdom in hard situations.

We hold an Orphan Care class occasionally throughout the year to help those exploring what their involvement might be in adoption care and fostering. Our main resource is a network of involved families who are also on the frontlines who can answer questions, share from their own experience, and offer encouragement in hard times. We also offer Biblical counseling to help families work through what following Jesus looks like through various orphan care challenges.
