Weekly Schedule
As part of our “Know Their Story” campaign, we want to help you engage others the way Jesus did by listening well and asking thoughtful questions. Our goal is to hear 2,000 new stories this year. To help, we’re giving away free copies of Questioning Evangelism by Randy Newman starting this week. This practical book reminds us that effective evangelism doesn’t require memorized answers, just a willingness to ask good questions and care deeply. Pick up your copy at the table in the foyer!
Join us for our Summer Celebration service at 6:00pm—an indoor evening service with worship, testimonies, prayer, and more. Afterward, we’ll head outside for lake baptisms and enjoy a time of ice cream and fellowship together.
We’re bringing back our Fall Festival—a fun-filled community outreach event with games and activities for kids, a Story Wall to spark gospel conversations, and something for all ages. Mark your calendar and get ready to invite friends, family, and neighbors!
It will take a strong team to make this event happen, so stay tuned for how you can jump in and help.
Announcements
We’re excited to invite you to a special event where the Malawi team will share highlights from their recent ministry trip. Hear firsthand about the impactful outreach, ministry, and transformative experiences they had. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with the team, hear about their experience and support global outreach.
For those who want to have their child dedicated but have never attended the class. We will cover what child dedication is, basic parenting principles, and give an overview of Bethany resources. Contact the church office to register.
The next dedication will be held on August 24th.
All ladies are invited to Gracie Cross’s shower. The shower will take place at Bethany in the Café. Gracie is registered at my/babylist.com/gracie-cross.
Our radio ministry featuring the teaching of Pastor Ritch airs each Sunday at 11am on WBNH 88.5FM. Or go to knowingchrist.org to hear each broadcast.
It is our desire to be praying for you no matter what is happening in your life. Go to bethanycentral.org/prayer or use the Bethany app to fill out a prayer request or share a praise so that our leaders, staff, prayer team, and church family can be in prayer for you personally.
Access an extensive library of faith-based videos for kids, youth, and adults, available on any device. It’s easy and free to join. Visit bethanycentral.org/rightnowmedia and click “Request an invitation.” We’ll send you an email invitation to set up your account so you can take advantage of this great resource.
Icebreaker: If you had to be a farmer, what types of crops would you want? How would you run your farm? (Or vineyard)
Discussion 1: In the parable, the tenants repeatedly reject and harm the servants sent by the vineyard owner, and ultimately kill his son. What do you think Jesus was saying about the history of Israel and the religious leaders through this story? Why would this parable have been so offensive to them?
Application 1: What are the consequences of rejecting God’s Word and His Son? How can we lovingly warn others, just as Jesus is doing here, before it’s too late?
Discussion 2: Jesus quoted Psalm 118 to show that rejection isn’t the end of the story — the rejected stone became the cornerstone. What does this teach us about God’s purposes in using what the world overlooks or rejects? (See 1 Corinthians 1:18-31)
Application 2: Jesus was rejected, yet became the foundation of salvation. How does this truth give you hope when you feel rejected, overlooked, or discouraged? How can you rest in the knowledge that God often works powerfully through what seems broken or dismissed?
Discussion 3: The religious leaders realized Jesus told the parable against them, but instead of repenting, they looked for a way to arrest Him. Why do you think conviction sometimes leads people to harden their hearts instead of turning back to God?
Application 3: When confronted with truth, we can either resist or repent. How can we stay soft-hearted and responsive to God, even when His conviction is uncomfortable?
