Sunday Worship
Weekly Schedule
We’ll be commissioning our 2025 Malawi GO Team this Sunday as they prepare to leave on July 4 and serve through July 15. The team will be involved in conferences, children’s ministry, and neighborhood outreach. Please be praying for safe travel, joy as they serve, and for fruitful ministry throughout their time. You can follow their trip updates—and give a last-minute financial gift if you’d like—at bethanycentral.org/malawi25.
There is an opportunity to be baptized at our upcoming Summer Celebration service. If you are interested in participating, email info@bethanycentral.org or call the church office. Connect with us to begin the process or to talk with someone from our ministry staff team with any questions or concerns you may have.
The Table (for women) and The Anvil (for men) are small gatherings designed to help you build community and share life together. These are small group gatherings hosted by people from our church, happening at various times and locations to fit your schedule. Each gathering is unique. Whether you’re eating a meal together or enjoying a fun activity together, it’s a chance to meet new people and enjoy genuine fellowship. Visit bethanycentral.org/gatherings to browse all available gatherings and sign up!

It’s not too late to join the men’s bible study as they dive into the Book of Ecclesiastes titled, Life Under the Sun. Together, you’ll wrestle with life’s biggest questions—meaning, purpose, justice, and joy—and discover how true wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. Sign up using your myBethany or go to bethanycentral.org/ecclstudy.
Throughout the year, Bethany offers ongoing and short-term Ladies’ Bible Studies that meet at various times throughout the week. We have morning, afternoon, and evening classes. There are several options to study either Jesus in the Psalms or Proverbs 3:5-6 this summer!
The Temple Builders Adult Bible Fellowship (Room 807) will begin a new series this Sunday on 2 Samuel and the Reign of King David. Everyone is welcome to join!
Our radio ministry featuring the teaching of Pastor Ritch airs each Sunday at 11am on WBNH 88.5FM. Or go to knowingchrist.org to hear each broadcast.

Icebreaker: What is something odd that you and your spouse do that others may not know about? If you aren’t married, what is something odd you’ve seen a married couple do?
Discussion 1: The Pharisees tested Jesus with a question about divorce, but He responded by pointing back to God’s original design for marriage. Why do you think Jesus chose to focus on God’s intent rather than debate the law? What does this reveal about how Jesus views obedience and the law more broadly? (Look at Matthew 5:20)
Application 1: In our culture, relationships are treated casually and marriage conditionally. How is God’s design for marriage radically different from our culture’s view? How does viewing marriage as a “covenant,” not a “contract,” alter your view of marriage and divorce?
Discussion 2: Jesus highlights that from the beginning, marriage was about two becoming one flesh. Why do you think unity and oneness are so central to God’s vision for marriage? What challenges this kind of unity today? (See Ephesians 5:25-33)
Application 2: Are there ways this passage challenges your views on divorce and marriage? Do Jesus’s words give you a higher or different view of marriage?
Discussion 3: Jesus’s teaching on divorce was both countercultural and deeply challenging. How do you think His audience received His words, and how should we wrestle with them today, especially in a culture of personal freedom that often rejects marriage?
Application 3: What do you think God’s purposes for marriage are? Talk through and list them. (See Genesis 1:28, Genesis 2:24, 1 Cor 7:2, Ephesians 5:25-33). How does divorce twist these purposes?
