We are thankful for the sweet time of fellowship and sharing a meal at our annual meeting this past Sunday. The budget for our upcoming fiscal year was overwhelmingly approved, along with the confirmation of our officers: Max Lalicker – Treasurer, Ted Lueken – Assistant Treasurer, Abby Pfieffer – Church Clerk, and Kristi DeBacker – Financial Secretary.
Our Easter Devotional, He is Risen, written by Bethany Church staff. Is still available for you to pick up in the foyer or online at bethanycentral.org/heisrisen.
Friday April 18th, 6:00 pm join us for a special event meant to help us reflect on the sacrificial death of our Savior. The evening will include baptisms and communion (NO nursey or childcare provided).
Sunday April 20th, 9:00 & 10:30 am join us for Easter Sunday at Bethany. There will be no ABC’s, Sunday School, or Children’s Church this week. Nursery will be provided for ages 2 and under.

A heartfelt thank you to a very generous Bethany family for donating 3,300 pounds of food and hygiene products for the Foodshare Canathon! All of it will go to Hands of Grace Food Pantry, a ministry of Grace Baptist Church. We also want to thank our Sunday School children for filling a lunch bag with canned goods—every contribution makes a difference!
Jeremy Kluth of Scripture Alive will bring the story of Jesus’ final hours to life during our Good Friday service through a powerful, dramatic Scripture recitation. He will portray pivotal moments—including the Last Supper, Jesus’ arrest, trial, crucifixion, and death. Then, on Easter Sunday morning, he will return to present the moving conclusion, portraying the resurrection of Christ.
This class is for those who want to have their child dedicated but have never attended the class. We will cover what child dedication is, basic parenting principles, and give an overview of Bethany resources. Contact the church office to register.
The next dedication will be held on May 11th.
BEST (Boomers Engaged in Serving and Sharing Together) is hosting a lunch that will take place in the High School Room. Bethany’s Handbell Choir will present a captivating collection of classical hymns that will lift your spirit and refresh your soul. Use your myBethany to RSVP or call the church office.

Icebreaker: What’s one skill you wish you had and why? It could be special or mundane.
Discussion 1: The woman believed that if she just touched Jesus’s garment, she would be healed. Jesus responded by emphasizing her faith and calling her “daughter.” Why do you think Jesus took the time to acknowledge her publicly instead of letting her go quietly after being healed?
Application 1: The woman’s faith led her to take radical action despite fear and being a social outcast. What might be holding you back from taking a step of faith like this woman?
Discussion 2: When Jairus receives news that his daughter has died, Jesus tells him, “Do not fear, only believe.” How might Jairus have felt in that moment, and what does Jesus’s response teach us about trusting God when situations seem hopeless?
Application 2: Jesus calls us to replace fear with faith (Psalm 34:4; 56:3), even when circumstances seem impossible. Is there a situation in your life where you need to replace fear with trust in God? How can we replace our fear of circumstances with our faith in God?
Discussion 3: Both Jairus and the woman approached Jesus in faith, but they came from very different backgrounds — Jairus was a respected leader, while the woman was an outcast. What did they both have in common? How did Jesus respond to both of them?
Application 3: Jesus responded to both Jairus and the woman with compassion and love, showing that He is accessible to anyone who approaches in faith. Do you find it difficult to treat everyone with love and compassion no matter their background, personality, or struggles? How can we reflect the love of Christ to those who are hard to love? How can we treat everyone equally?
