Sunday Worship
Weekly Schedule
Fall is the perfect time to jump into a community group for the first time. If you’ve never joined a group, or haven’t attended in a while, now is the time to find a group of believers to do life with. Go to bethanycentral.org/groups to learn more.
At Bethany we love to use name badges to help people get to know us and make guests feel welcome. Please be sure to wear your nametag next week! If you’ve never had one or need a replacement, please visit or contact the church office to have one made for you in preparation for nametag Sunday.
Join us for a full day of worship and connection. We’ll have a single outdoor service at 9:30am, with fellowship and refreshments beforehand. There will be no ABCs, Sunday School, or Children’s Church that morning, but nursery will be available. Be sure to bring a lawn chair for outdoor seating.
Then come back at 7:00pm for our Outdoor Night of Worship, followed by ice cream and more time to connect as we close out the summer together.

First get your child registered to be ready for materials pick-up night. Then stop by the church to pick up everything your child will need for this year any time from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Go to bethanycentral.org/awana to register.
Throughout the year, Bethany offers ongoing and short-term Ladies’ Bible Studies that meet at various times throughout the week. We have morning, afternoon, and evening classes. Several options are available for you to study God’s Word.
This is a women’s group for moms of young kids, teens, and anything in between. They meet Tuesday mornings at Bethany to study The End of Me: Finding Resurrection Life in the Daily Sacrifices of Motherhood by Liz Wann. Childcare is provided. Sign up using MyBethany or contact the church office.
MOMents is a group for moms with children aged 0 to Kindergarten, offering community, growth, and support. They meet every other Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, with childcare provided. Each session includes breakfast, a creative activity, and discussions led by guest speakers on topics relevant to our lives. For more details and to register, go to bethanycentral.org/moments.
Icebreaker: If you could swap lives with a fictional character for a day, who would it be and why?
Discussion 1: Jesus describes His return in power and glory, promising that His words will not pass away. What hope does this promise offer, especially to people experiencing suffering today? How does Jesus’s return shape how we live now?
Application 1: Jesus’s return is certain, even if the timing is unknown. How can this promise motivate us to live with purpose and perspective today? What’s one area of our lives that needs to be shaped more by eternal hope than temporary concerns?
Discussion 2: Why do you think Jesus emphasizes not knowing the time of His return? How does that uncertainty affect the way we live as His disciples? How should we view those who think they know the time?
Application 2: Are there habits or attitudes in your life that reflect passivity rather than alertness? What is one practical step you can take this week to live with greater spiritual readiness for the Day of the Lord?
Discussion 3: In what ways can we become passive or even distracted looking for the Lord’s return? How does the image of servants at work (v. 34) reframe our idea of spiritual readiness as we wait for the Lord’s return?
Application 3: Each servant in the parable was assigned a task while the master was away (vs. 34). Jesus insinuates that all believers have a task while they wait for His return. What “assigned task” has God given you in this season of life, and how can you be more faithful in carrying it out today, instead of waiting for a “better” time? Do you feel you have a task?
