Sunday Worship
Weekly Schedule
At Bethany we love to use name badges to help people get to know us and make guests feel welcome. Please be sure to wear your name tag on July 7th! If you’ve never had one or need a replacement please visit or contact the church office to have one made for you in preparation for name tag Sunday.
There is an opportunity to be baptized at our upcoming Summer Celebration service. If you are interested in participating, email [email protected] or call the church office. Connect with us to begin the process or to talk with someone from our ministry staff team with any questions or concerns you may have.
Sunday morning donut fellowship from 9:00-10:00am. Single indoor service at 10:00am.
6:00pm evening service with baptisms by the lake, prayer, and ministry updates. We’ll end the evening with a time of fellowship and dessert after the meeting.
Announcements
Our sent partner Shannon H. is visiting us this week. She will give a short update in both services and will be free to connect after both services on Sunday. Shannon will be sharing about her next steps on her ministry journey.
The office and church building will be closed on July 4th due to the holiday.
An Advocacy Team is a small group of people committed to caring for our sent partners in specific ways. Sent partners are those commissioned and sent out by Bethany either globally or locally. These teams meet once a month to pray for and care for their sent partner. If you are interested you can go to bethanycentral.org/GOadvocacy to learn more.
There is no Together in Prayer for the month of July. The prayer time will start again in August. Email Josh Moon [email protected], for more information and any questions.
Come and learn the basics of sign language, deaf culture, and a few fun songs. This class is intended for 3rd graders all the way up to adults. You can contact Ellie Graham for more details at [email protected] for more information.
Moments is hosting playdates this summer. Any mom with a child 0-5 is welcome to come, so invite your pre-k mom friends! The next playdate will be hosted here at Bethany. Moms will be in the cafe with coffee and scones while kids play in the nursery and Gym. Childcare is provided but please reach out to Kristi Plumier if you plan to bring children for childcare. You can contact her at [email protected].
It is our desire to be praying for you no matter what is happening in your life. Go to bethanycentral.org/prayer or use the Bethany app to fill out a prayer request or share a praise so that our leaders, staff, prayer team, and church family can be in prayer for you personally.

Is there symbolism in Nebuchadnezzar being turned into an animal because of his pride? What do you think God was trying to communicate to us today, through this transformation?
What can we learn from Daniel’s reaction to the interpretation, as well as his words of advice to the king?
How did Daniel try to help the king after knowing what his future would be?

Pride is often described as the root of all sin. Do you think that is true? Why or why not? In what ways does pride hinder our spiritual walk? What is the opposite of pride? (See Prov 11:2, 15:33, and 29:23)
How can we cultivate humility in our lives in order to avoid the consequences of our pride? (See James 4:6, 10)
Do you think it is possible to avoid pride in our lives? What actions can we take to avoid pride? Why do you think God takes pride so seriously, both here in this passage as well as other places in Scripture?
