Why did God say He would send Israel to the Promised Land without Him? Is it still the Promised Land?
God said He would send Israel to the Promised Land without Him because the people had disobeyed Him so much that He was very angry. But Moses asked God to stay with them, and God listened. Without God, the Promised Land wouldn’t be as special, because what made it special was that God would be with His people there.
How would Moses talk with God before the Tabernacle was built? What did Moses pray for?
Before the Tabernacle was built, Moses would talk with God in a special tent called the Tent of Meeting. Moses prayed for God to be with His people and to guide them, even though they had disobeyed Him. Moses knew that they needed God to lead them.
How did God show Moses His glory? What does God tell Moses what kind of God He is? Are these good things?
God showed Moses His glory by passing in front of him and covering Moses’ face so he wouldn’t see too much. God told Moses that He is a kind and loving God who forgives people but also punishes those who do wrong. These are good things because it shows that God is both loving and fair.
What happened when Moses came down from seeing God’s glory? What did he have to do?
When Moses came down from seeing God’s glory, his face was shining brightly because he had been so close to God. It was so bright that people were scared to come near him, so Moses had to cover his face with a veil. This showed how amazing and powerful God’s presence is.
Why can Moses not enter into the Tabernacle into God’s presence?
Moses could not enter into the Tabernacle into God’s presence because God’s presence was so powerful and holy. Only the high priest could enter the most special part, and even then, only after doing special things to be clean and ready. This shows us how holy and special God is.
