Malawi is known as the warm heart of Africa. The people of this great country make it a very special place. We have two global partners who are pastoring churches in Lilongwe, Malawi. Newton Chilingulo (wife Vanessa) is pastoring Reformation Bible Church and Kondi Nyanda (wife- Patricia) is pastoring Grace Bible Church. They have invited us to come and spend a week with their churches to help with outreach. We are planning on doing some evangelism on some of their college campuses and also running some kids programs for children in the neighborhood of their churches.

Malawi 2025 – July 12

Our quick pace seems to be catching up with many of the team members. A few are fighting colds and others are tired, low on energy, or simply slowing down. Despite this consensus, each team member joyfully joined in the tasks for today. First, we had the privilege of participating...

Today our main agenda was to encourage the missionaries—Newton & Kondi, and their families. Vanessa and Patricia (their wives) have served us tirelessly the entire week. From waking at the rooster’s first crow preparing breakfast, to popping batches of popcorn for a late night snack—these ladies are the lifeblood of...

Malawi 2025 – July 10

Today tested our flexible excellence in all the right ways. Our morning plan to visit the men’s prison changed, so our hosts thought we might enjoy seeing the sights of an outdoor market. After some of the team had a mishap at an  immigration stop, Patricia (Kondi’s wife) saved the day by producing...

“Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭27‬ Our morning began with the continued lavish hospitality of our hosts. Many of us enjoyed coffee or tea with breakfast...

Malawi 2025 – July 8

The Lord’s hand has been evident on our team each day, and today was no exception. Again, the children were already waiting in the parking lot of RBC, dancing, laughing, and running, as our van pulled up. It was impossible to be tired or sleepy while being greeted by their...

Malawi 2025 – July 7

Today was day 1 of VBS at RBC. God has smiled on us! Even the chickens who wander around the front yard seemed chirper as we headed out with expectant hearts for what the Lord would do today. When we pulled into the bumpy RBC parking lot (40 minutes early)...

What riches of kindness He’s lavished on us! What a blessed Lord’s day we had. Ten members of the team joined Kondi at Grace Bible Church (GBC). Jimmy preached on 2 Kings 6, where Elisha miraculously recovers the borrowed axehead from the Jordan. God sees and cares about our normal every...

Malawi 2025 – July 5

The sky was still dark at 3am, as the Malawi team gathered in the parking lot of the church to load the final bags into the trailer and begin our long journey to African soil.  The 18 of us prayed our final send-off with many tired and some teary eyes of...
