This was our final day ministering in NYC. We went to Central Park. While we were in Central park we took a little time to visit Trump tower and the Plaza hotel where Kevin McCallister spent so much of his Christmas vacation back in 1992 (movie reference!).

Sully and I took it a little easy today and only spoke to three people. However, all three conversations felt very significant. The first man that I talked to was a believer from Jamaica. I was able to encourage him with the Word as he shared about some challenges that was facing.

The second person that we talked to was a little boy who invited Sully to play futbol (or soccer). Sully gave him a little card with a QR code that has a the gospel in movie form called “The Story Maker” on it. It was sweet to see Sully have spiritual concern for this new little friend.

The final person that I talked to was a young man from the Philippines who was watching his little brother. I was a little bold with him and simply asked him if I could show him a movie. I shared with him a short five minute film called “The Man on the Middle Cross.” It started a long conversation because he was Catholic, but had very little understanding of what the Bible taught about sin and the need for us to be justified through faith in Christ alone. I don’t know where his journey will end, but it was an exciting conversation with someone who truly wanted to know what the Bible had to say about these things!

That evening we had a celebration worship service back at the hotel with all of the rest of the Spread Truth groups. It turns out that 118 people came to know Christ this week through our efforts and our conversations. Everyone on the Bethany trip is worn out, but also there is a Spirit of thankfulness and joy that is so encouraging!

Most of our team went to Juniors for dinner after our night of worship. As I ponder our time, I am so thankful for each and every story that was experienced here.
